PE major help

Hello fellow monkeys,

I am in Community College and planning on transferring to a University.I have few questions. Please forgive my ignorance.

1.If I don't attend Ivy League, it will be hard for me to get into Private Equity?

2.What major would be beneficial for Private Equity.I'm CS right now, thinking of changing to Business but I might get offered Econ(heard it's too technical)?

3. Does UCLA ECON, has good reputation for Private Equity industry?

Thanks

Thank you for your reply.

How should I figure out which school is good for BB IB role? Look at the courses offered? What should I look for? I'm very interested in Law. I wasn't sure if it would be beneficial for Private Equity. Is there any particular law I should go for? I'm interested in Corporate Law.
