PE post-MBA without relevant experience

I'll be attending business school next year, though I'm currently undecided on which one. I was admitted to one of the M7 without scholarship, interviewed at two others (hearing back soon), and admitted to 2 schools ranked 8-15 with 50-100% scholarship.

I worked at a financial institution my whole pre-MBA career but in a non-IB/PE role. I know a lot about asset management and PE due to personal interest but not work experience. If I have the longer-term goal of breaking into PE, and all the 5 schools where I interviewed have good IB recruitment but differing levels of PE prospects, would my best bet be:

1) Go to the M7, recruit for IB and hope for PE eventually,
2) Go to the M7 and recruit for PE in the slim hope of networking in while having some backup plan,
3) Go to non-M7 and take scholarship while still having good chance at IB, but have lower chance to make it in PE

All in all, my goal is definitely PE but I know it's tough without the right background. My question is mostly around whether my chances at PE are much higher (either short or long term) at M7 assuming I got the same IB role at non-M7, and generally whether longer term opportunities are better from M7 even if I got a top IB job out of non-M7.
