Prepping for the SIE & Series 79

How many hours would you recommend for the SIE and Series 79 prep? I've scheduled about 40 hours of prep time for the SIE, but haven't started yet on any top off exams. Also if anyone has used solomon to prep for either of these, how much time would you advise spending on the flash cards? Thanks.

Most firms when onboarding SA's will do roughly 4 weeks of training and I believe more or the same for FT. This was an edit

Inside of that training, they should devote time to study days, training, etc.. all related to said SEI & Series exams. Upon that you should be studying on your off time. If you listen during the study days, do the work in the training, and study on your off time, you should be fine. Would worry less about the "hours" and more about the understanding of the material.

Best of luck!

Took the SIE, 7, and 63 between March-May of this year. Used Kaplan for all. SIE probably put around your targeted hours maybe little less. Just do the practice questions until you have repeated all the questions that you got wrong. It is a “a mile wide but an inch deep”.

Few players recall big pots they have won, strange as it seems, but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career.
