Private Banking Meeting

Hey guys,

Have a meeting soon with an AVP from Wells Fargo about a private banking internship for this summer. I already know the guy, but I want to make a good impression. Should I tell him that I want to go into investment banking eventually? How would an interview like this compare to an IB interview? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to make a good impression for an internship spot, do not tell a Private Banking professional that you'd prefer IB.

I'm sure that internship is somewhat competitive. If you were interviewing and had a choice between an intern who is fully interested in a FT Private Banking position or an intern that prefers IB, which would you pick?

Your #1 goal here is to get in the door.
