Product Control at a BB to M&A Consulting at Mercer, good move?

So got an offer from Mercer in their M&A consulting division. Want your opinion on whether it would be a good move to make for my career (BO to Front).

Should I stay at the BB, and try to keep looking for better opportunities? Kind of scared of being pigeonholed as I've been in this kind of role for 3+ yrs.

lionheartOK thank you guys for your response.

One thing that kind of bothers me is that Mercer is well known for its HR consulting and me getting labeled the HR guy (despite the role being called M&A Consultant).

Do you guys think I could spin my experience after a few yrs working as a consultant at Mercer to something better in the financial industry?

Yes, but more likely you'll move within consulting. Either way, compared to product control, this is a huge step forward. Product control is boring and pigeonholes you, this option will open doors and position you well for grad school.
