Public Finance Compensation Structure
Through reading a bunch of threads on WSO and M&I, I’ve gotten the impression that PubFin is pretty niche and kind of lives in its own world. I’ve been lucky to land a FT role at BAML/Citi/MS, in an IB/Capital Markets hybrid role, with more emphasis on the Capital Markets structuring side in PubFin.
I was wondering if anyone who works in, or knows anybody who works in PubFin on what comp structure looks like? I understand pay is VERY different across NYC BB pubfin and a regional boutique PubFin role, so it would be good to get some insight on Salary + Bonus. I’m assuming salary is Street for Analyst/Associate, but I’m curious about the Bonuses for NYC BB PubFin.
