Putting all doubts to rest
Okay, monkeys. So that I need not spend more time fielding folks' doubts, here you go. Seanc, this is particularly for you.

So in this photograph, which I just took, you have the following:
Statue of Liberty in background -- proves my apartment is in Lower Manhattan.
Diamond Nationals Black Belt 1st place trophy from 1998.
Work blackberry plus personal blackberry.
Diamond engagement ring in Blue Nile box. Yes, the diamond is small. I'm still very proud of it and happy with it.
SafeWord access card for remote access to work
A piece of lined paper that says Mis Ind so that you can tell I didn't just dig the image up online.
The strange looking red puffballs with white dust on them are called uchiko. They are made of silk and rice paper called yoshino-gami, then filled with whetstone powder. They are only used for one thing: for cleaning katana. I would have no reason to have uchiko unless I was trained in the use of katana.
Hopefully you'll agree that I didn't run out and buy a trophy from 1998, break my way into someone else's Lower Manhattan apartment, buy an engagement ring, steal a remote access card, and find uchiko (which is not easy, believe me) just to prove a point.
I am not lying. I'm just unusual.
