If you actually worked in tech banking instead of relying on measuring contests on this forum, you'd know that PWP is right up there with the firms you mentioned. I don't blame you for parroting though.

Their SF Tech team is not tops. Can you even name 5 deals in the past 5 years they've done? Don't bother saying WeWork, AT&T, etc as they were sourced and executed in NY...I know their SF HC team is a different story though. Analysts there work closely with the NY team as all the senior guys are ex-JPM (NY and SF) so they function as one unit. It's similar to their M&T team which all came from Lazard and work as one unit.

To the Prospect, tech is not the same as M&T or fintech...

Agree with you except on the HC part. Have worked across the SF HC guys on a number of deals (their teams are a mix of SF/NY guys - I’m guessing a senior partner in NY would bring in the deal and SF executes) and they are solid. They have 2-3 analysts a year from what I hear so hard to look at “exits”. Had an analyst go to FP recently

Don't need to go that far back to find PayPal. And yes, it was done by SF Tech.
