Question - IBD and resume / cover letter

Hi,
Not sure how to approach this and what better place to ask than wso. I am a first year student for my B.Sc and I have successfully landed a internship in IBD this fall, now I am interested in applying for internships during spring / summer 2023. However most of them requires previous internships or that you have studied for at least 2-years. Is it common practice to mention you have an incoming internship in your resume or cover letter? Or does that just come off as a douche? Is it better to wait with applications until I've completed my internship?
