“Nick was fantastic. He didn’t just glance at my resume and give me generic advice—he explained exactly why it wasn’t telling the story I wanted it to tell, then helped me figure out how to fix it. He pushed me to be more intentional about how I talk about my experience and gave me concrete steps to prepare for interviews, from tailoring my resume to practicing financial modeling. I also appreciated how candid he was. When I asked about real estate capital markets versus sales and trading, he gave me his honest opinion while being clear about his own perspective. He shared interview guides, answered all my questions, and offered to do a more detailed mock interview if I move forward with JLL. More info would help. What's your long term goal? AM or ACQ? Also, what markets/property types will you be working on across both opps? Is the AM role purely AM, or will you get transaction experience as well (dispositions, refinancings, etc)?

Based on what you wrote, I'd go with the first path. Brand is better, and the firm will probably have more sophisticated processes and systems. You'll most likely build a stronger foundation there (knowledge and network). The challenge with this path is if you want to move into ACQ at some point. You can certainly go from AM to ACQ, but from what I've seen it seems like firms want to see some sort of transaction experience for ACQ positions.
