More info would help. What's your long term goal? AM or ACQ? Also, what markets/property types will you be working on across both opps? Is the AM role purely AM, or will you get transaction experience as well (dispositions, refinancings, etc)?

Based on what you wrote, I'd go with the first path. Brand is better, and the firm will probably have more sophisticated processes and systems. You'll most likely build a stronger foundation there (knowledge and network). The challenge with this path is if you want to move into ACQ at some point. You can certainly go from AM to ACQ, but from what I've seen it seems like firms want to see some sort of transaction experience for ACQ positions.
