Real Investment Banking groups in Los Angeles
What firms have real estate groups in Los Angeles? I know Barclays does but do any other firms that don't only specialize in real estate have groups in LA?
Look into Eastdil Secured - all they do is RE IBD and LA is a sizable office for them. I believe GS and JPM LA both have some RE guys in LA too. Not sure about the rest.
I'm a little confused...what would you say Eastdil does in their LA office? I have a buddy that interned their a few summers ago, and a quick LinkedIn search shows dozens of people who work at Eastdil LA and classify it as investment banking.
Eastdil doesn't do IB out of Los Angeles, only out of their DC and New York offices.
JPM does have a team in LA.
As kmzz stated, LA office is primarily focused on asset level brokerage and debt placement. Ibanking (corporate level transactions for REITS etc.) is handled out of the offices I mentioned. If people classify it as ibanking on their Linkedin they are drinking the kool-aid.

Can someone provide an update on the RE IB groups in Los Angeles? Referring to corporate REGAL groups, not asset-level HFF / CBRE-type groups.
I know Barclays, CS, WF do some RE out of LA , but curious whether there are any others. Thanks!
I think it’s all NYC / SF. How many people are in those groups you mentioned? Are there actual satellite offices for those groups or is just a couple REGL MDs who work out there
Not sure about the exact count, but I know of analysts / associates based in LA for all three of those banks I listed.
