Recluses of finance?
Are there any famous (paradoxical) recluses in the history of finance?
The only one that I can think of is Howard Hughes but he seems to have been more of a general businessman than a financier. I read this article about David Abrams of Abrams Capital. It's about how he "stays in shadows" but is nothing too crazy.
I think there aren't many in finance because they aren't as likely to be harassed by random people like authors (jd salinger or thomas pynchon for ex) because they aren't very famous so they don't have to hide.
