Redirect me

I was interested in IBD but recently realised it is not gonna work primarily due to being an extreme non-target and was gonna do a master but my finance fell through because of COVID. I am on scholarship and visa so my time in the UK is limited and need to find something for after I graduate to be able to survive.

Would someone please be able to look at my CV, and based on my background suggest roles I would be the best fit for/high chance to get interviews in the finance industry. I have a flexible graduation date so able to apply for both SA and FT and open to BO/MO/FT but would like to avoid operations if possible.

@French Hardo" @Pan European Monkey" @English Hardo" any help, please?

Private loan -> MSc -> IB

Big 4 Audit -> TAS/Corp Fin -> IB

Anything interesting -> MBA business schools">M7/LBS/INSEAD MBA -> IB (but that’s hard)

You can post an anonymised version of your CV on here and ppl will help you out. I do not normally do charity work, but yes you can PM me if you wish.

Honestly you are way too talented to work in the back office. The formatting triggers me, but the content is there.

When we say don’t bother applying from a non-target, this is for the 99.9% of applicants - not for people like you.

PM me - easier if I just rewrite it for you.

Fortmatting gave me aids, PIMCO prep is a 1 day insight, non selective. Remove. Financial edge is the PIMCO summer, you are misleading the reader.

lol what are you even talking about ?

PIMCO had a full spring week last year that is the one in question and I dont get your point about the FE trainning thing which is basically like an online course I did this summer.

I am really here to get feedback on good roles to apply for which I can have a good chance not random comments. thks.

Dude, OP here just stop and leave my thread thank you for worrying. you really think the best I can do is operation? I will do just fine. As you can see from CV, I might be a non-target but they are still plenty of other companies that will hire me and pharmacy is still available for me as an option so thank you.

Also I go to Liverpool John Moores no need to write in full to even disclose it further, so what now? go sue me.

As for my visa I will do just fine thank you for worying. You seem new on the website and the 1st thing you do, is pick on me? GTFO and go worry about your own application. Again I will do just fine lol

Sorry for being late, have been quite busy during these last days.

I would reformat the CV, but the content is good enough to get some interviews for SAs, at the end of the day you have been selected for some good insight programs, which are a good measure to compare you with your peers.

I would be careful with some bullets and rephrase them like "presented a M&A idea" just say "Pitched a M&A opportunity..." using a little bit more of finance jargon.

But as previous people said this should be more than enough to shoot for FO and get interviews (then its all on you). Nevertheless depending on your risk aversion, you should choose if you rather gun for M&A, ECM, DCM, Lev Fin...
