Risk Mgmt Bonuses at BB

Any idea what a mid-level credit risk bonuses are at BB firms? Recognize it varies, but trying to get a sense for what a VP middle office credit officer type pulls in for salary and bonus?

From what I hear it's generally same base as IBD analyst, but much less hours and small bonus. Not sure how hard to get to VP and not sure what it's worth when you get there. Hence my original question. What are the mid-level risk guys getting? Seem to have pretty good work / life balance compared to IBD

Credit risk VP = IBD analyst base and smaller bonus?

What planet are you from?

I was referring to IBD Analyst vs. CRM Analyst Obv. Well maybe not so obv, judging from your post

A former colleague of mine is a director in RBC Capital Markets credit risk group in Toronto. He makes close to 500K. 150K base plus 200% bonus. I got this info from a friend who works for him. My friend makes 90K base with a 30-40% bonus. He's at the senior analyst level. Don't know for VP, but 120K base plus 60-80% bonus would be my best guess.

The Director is a physics PhD, and my friend has an MFE, so it probably doesn't make much sense to compare with an IBD analyst.

I have two friends in risk management at two different BB banks and they have AVP titles though they are only two years out of school. At their banks at least AVP (and VP) are much more junior than investment banking VPs.
