If anyone headed to GS SLC is looking for a roommate, I'm looking for a roommate to live in downtown. If you're interested, message me.

I didn't know GS had an AM team in SLC? I thought that area was primarily BO operations.
Nope, they've got GIR, AM, and now IBD.
GS is piloting an IBD analyst program starting this summer in SLC but a lot of folks here are skeptical of it given the overall lack of clients around SLC.
How are things with the first class right now? Would you consider GS SLC IBD over mid market S&T on Wall Street? Do people actually feed to NYC from the program and what are hours like?
Interesting. I will be working for Goldman in Irving this summer but I may want to live in SLC full time because there is literally nothing to do around here. How is the COL? Does it have a collegial atmosphere? How is the nightlife over there?
If any bank can pull it off, it'd be Goldman. Anyway, anyone looking for a roommate?
Downtown or Chipeta?
Most definitely downtown. I'm not commuting. Lol
Have you asked about the GS bulletin yet? Is basically an internal Craigslist for GS and you'll probably be able to find roommates there.
It's actually really nice. I've only visited though- I start in July. I'm actually from Dallas and I know what you're talking about- I could not live in Irving. The office was ok, but that was about it. Salt lake is actually really fun. It's got a college atmosphere, but it's got a downtown city feel, plus the scenery is amazing. Not a bad place to be.
If you don't mind me asking, what's the comp as a first year in AM down at SLC?
I've emailed HCM, but no response so far. Is there a link I can use to access the bulletin?
You can't access it until you officially start working. Ask your point of contact within the firm; he/she should be able to help out. Also check out postings on KSL.com.
PM me.
