Rothschild & Co Spring week- Conversion rate?

Hi,

I have a place on the Rothschild spring week (postponed until COVID is sorted) in London. I believe there are around 20 spring interns and that the conversion interview is typically just 2 interviews which include a short presentation on an M&A deal. Does anyone have any information about the typical conversion rates from past groups?

Thank you!

p.s- I don't know anyone who has done Roths spring before hence asking on here

how many spots did they have left for regular SA recruiting cycle then

I did the SW a few years ago

It’s a super good week of intros to different divisions, project about a potential acquisition and presenting this to like 10 directors, charity work, work shadowing 2x and I remember there being afternoon tea with MDs. Make sure you build a rapport with HR and make sure you ask lots of questions on work shadowing as analysts write reviews to HR. Also make sure you stay in contact/become friends with at least 1 analyst in the group you’d like to intern in as it helps with group placement if you get the offer.

Everyone who does the SW gets given an opportunity to interview for intern role. Just don’t do anything stupid during the week. I had another offer from a ‘better’ bank so I never did the conversion interview. But I believe it’s presentation like the SW interview but you present a deal and Q&A about the deal. Then it’s componentcy/technicals... they’ll ask about what you enjoyed about SW and they expect you to have a really good answer to why Rothschild after the SW so make you take notes and ask why analysts and etc chose Rothschild. Technicals difficulty honestly depends on your interviewer. I remember I got grilled about LBOs in my spring week interview. So make sure you have some understanding of the different valuation methods/accounting/are commercially aware before you do that intern conversion interview. Good luck
