Scotia pays above-market salary?
Is it true that Scotia pays $90K base for its Analysts? This number seems to be higher than BB base and other boutiques (excluding EBs)

Can confirm, I have a friend who works there. Although I heard the bonuses are below street. Can anyone provide confirm this?

Can confirm the 90k base. It’s dependent on group deal flow. At a top group, all in first year comp was $180k this past year.
Scotia total comp is definitely under street - had multiple friends there (they left). However, the work-life balance is pretty decent.
any idea what the average weekly hours come to at Scotia?
$5k higher base makes no difference after tax so I wouldn’t even think about it.. $200 extra per month.. just buy one less beer on your weekly night out and you’ve made up the difference
