Searching for Mentors

Hey Guys,

My Name is Mike SanGiacomo and I am an undergraduate student coming out of the University of Vermont. So far at school I have managed to pull a 3.85 GPA with a dual degree in Stats and Finance. I've had a couple internships (3), and I am also an NCAA athlete on the University Snowboard Team. I'm graduating in May.

I have been on the job hunt since September but unfortunately I have not had much success. In the past couple of weeks I have had a couple interviews with Bloomberg, Credit Agricole, and CITI but no offers yet. At this point I have networked my **s off and I still feel like the outlook is looking pretty bleak. The next step I am taking is to pursue my CFA but other than that I am unsure of what my next steps should be.

Would any of you Non-target Hardos be willing to take me on as a mentee/ give me some advice? Saying that my school's alumni network is week would be an understatement so as a result, I'm looking for someone that I can talk to on a weekly basis regarding shaping my career path.

Thanks in advance.

A silver banana for a fellow outdoor athlete :) What do you want to do when you grow up?

I have a friend who lives in the country, and it's supposed to be an hour from 42nd Street. A lie! The only thing that's an hour from 42nd Street is 43rd Street!

Would be happy to talk about my experiences with 120+ interviews, 2 internships and 1 FT job, dunno if I’m experienced enough to mentor though, also nothing in S&T except for 1 interview and 1 adjacent summer internship.
