Seeking Some Advice

Hi all,

I am a graduating senior from a non-target state school. Will be joining Barclays Finance this July, and looking to someday (3-5 years) move into the front doing flow trading.

I know that the leap from BO -> FO is near impossible. I intend to return to a BS to obtain an MBA and hopefully that can improve my odds of moving to the front.

I have read that Wharton and Chicago have the best program for S&T. Would you guys kindly suggest any other schools/programs (definitely will consider international schools) that can definitely help in the process.

Granted, it is more about attitude and personal intelligence than an MBA, but it is difficult coming from a BO role. Also, would the MBA be the best bet? I have met PM at large AM firms w/ CFAs and such, but I dont know how relevant that is to my interests. Again, I'm looking to move into more FI flow trading, def not the prop trader, yet.

Thanks in advance and please leave any tips/experience advice as to how I can best improve my chances of finally being in the FO!

Cheers
