Mac users at banks not giving Laptops to SA

I know a lot of the banks are not giving laptops to summer analysts per previous posts (mine included). From what I understand, we will be using software which remotely logs into the company network from our computer. Does this mean we will be running regular windows excel on our macs? Perhaps with an external keyboard and a regular monitor it wont be beneficial to purchase or rent a non mac laptop? Curious for thoughts

I did the exact same thing on bootcamp and bought a second monitor. But the “windows not activated” logo at the right end corner is just annoying. Did u manage to remove that label?

Same thing for my bank. Don't have access yet to their network but should be a virtual windows environment with windows excel.

I just finished the first week of my internship on a macbook and things are working better than expected. I'm running one external monitor with external keyboard and mouse and using excel through parallels (another virtual windows desktop which i can use windowed). Excel alt shortcuts are functional, and my keyboard buttons automatically switch when in the windows pane. I am guessing our company virtual desktops will be similar.

Can you explain how the shortcuts work on your Mac when using Parallels? What do CMD and Control do on Mac keyboards when you're working in Parallels? I found them to not work when I tried it out several years ago. How would you do F2?
