Setting up a PO Box to get around out of state fees?
I'm currently a Junior at baruch college and i want to transfer to UNC really badly. But the problem is it's like 17k+ for out of state fees and only 4k for people who live in North Carolina. Couldn't I just take the train out to North Carolina, rent out an apartment for dirt cheap, and then use that to rent out a PO Box and claim to be a resident of North Carolina? At this point I'm really trying to think of any way to get around this. Advice/suggestions appreciated
that most schools require you to have lived there a year to qualify for in-state. if you have a parent that's lived there a year, you're good to go
otherwise,
paying in-state tuition means that you are going to school supported by NC tax-payers. They are not gonna give you in-state tuition that easily.
They may want to see your NC tax returns from the prior year as well.
my mom reported that she made only 5k last year tho lmao....so i dont think i will have to pay too much....:)
