Should I email every alum in the database
Our school has a database where alumni submit their emails/contact info where students can contact them. Some of these havent been updated in a while so Im not sure what my response rate will be. Thinking about emailing every single one of them, esp. since I know they wont all respond. Thoughts?
The more the merrier
Yeah, if you have the time. Maybe talk to a professor first and see who they would recommend. That depends on the class size though and how long the teacher has been at the school. Check you schools alumni chapters to see if any of the names you have are associated with them. You might luck out with a guy/girl who is hungry to continue helping the school and get more alumni on the street. That would make your life much easier.
Either way, sharks9022 says it best.
Do it in waves, not all at once. You would be surprised how many actually will respond.
