Slatt Capital
Anyone have anything to say about Slatt Capital? What do their analysts typically do? What is their deal flow? Culture? Comp? Any information about them is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Mortgage Bankers out of the Bay Area. Used to be called Barry Slatt. Decent deal flow. Analysts typically underwrite deals that come in and assist in the closing process. Not sure about comp but I would expect it to be similar to what the brokerages are paying. Probably something like $65k + bonus and around $80k-$100k all in.
I heard it can be a bit of a sweatshop from this guy in BAMA, but he left the position within a few month.
Did he leave cause he was working too much and not being comp'd enough for it? Or just the amount of work?

I think they pay like 30K+ bonuses for every loan you close. I would ask around. Their analysts would have to do processing and underwriting.
I know someone who used to work there, i think its more of comp not being competitive. Both their major offices are in high COLs where you could probably hop to something that was paying better. I do think they have a strong "grind it out" type of work culture, but I don't think its like Eastdil's hours. It could be, but I'm almost sure their pay doesn't measure anywhere near it.
