So did all you 1st Year Analysts go out and buy a low-end BMW or what?

So when you landed the ibanking job, did all you 22 year old yuppies go out and buy yourselves a low-end BMW or a low-end Mercedes C-Class or what? Or were some of you more conservative and chose to save your income instead? How many of you are on a BMW monthly lease? haha. just curious.

I cant think of anything I would rather do less than buy a car while living in NYC. Shit, I live in Philly and cant wait to get rid of the car I have let alone buy another one.

haha yeah i figured you don't need a car in NYC...but i also figured there were parking garages and I've seen some of them and they are FILLED with luxury cars. I thought some of them might be yours. Also, during my internships on Wall Street, the streets are either filled with taxi cabs or BMWs and Lexuses. Also, there's a huge presence of the small Infiniti sports sedans - somebody's gotta be driving them. Figured it was probably some of you hahaha.

Not yet but I'm planning to buy a BMW 1 series convertible with the license plate "SO HYPHY" once I get my bonus. There is just no substitute for a nice car.

Haha on top of lease/insurance you'd have to pay like 800 a month in parking (that could be low I honestly have no idea).

I generally see a 250K+ car at least once a week here. I guess that is something cool about the city.

Marcus_HalberstramWhat are you gauging WSO monkey's reactions under the guise of ridicule before making a big ticket purchase?

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

nice one. Especially since I'm currently a senior in college, barely have enough to pay off the upcoming Fall semester's tuition.

LeggoMyGekkoto guest1655: how the fuck is a 3 better than an E. E is the equivalent of a 5. if you're planning to drop 50-60k on a 3, you're a fool. get the 5 or the E

Benz is for old people. They don't make manual transmissions anymore and anything less than an AMG model you might as well get a fucking chrysler with leather seats.

If we're talking new im favorable to audi over bmw; but personally I'd like an e30 M3, they made shit better back then (the e28 M5 is better, but hard to get hands on, same with the e24 M6.) The cool thing about these cars is that they don't have a hook up for a fucking iPod because they were made for actually driving, not for entertaining spoiled 16 year olds.

The only good thing about owning a cheap car is you have no hesitation to ghost ride it.

Doubt you would catch me ghost ridin my RR Phantom.

If you are looking for nice cars, head to Atlanta. Its stupid down there. It's just a huge car focused city.
