Square Mile capital
Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or past interview experiences with Square Mile capital? I have a first round next week and was wondering what I should expect. Thanks!

Solid group with a strong book. Subsidiary of USAA but couldn’t be more different in how the two platforms operate. We have a handful of loans with them and they’ve generally been great to work with. Creative, smart, aggressive and view each deal as a partnership rather than holding your nuts to the pavement over every little detail in the loan docs.
Had dinner with a couple of the top guys in their group a few weeks back and they mentioned they had 20 loans they were trying to close by year end. They’re busy as hell which is why they’re probably looking to hire.
Have heard bad things about culture just a forewarning.
Could you elaborate?
I have heard the comp and dealflow is good but the hours can be very long(nyc)
Congrats on getting an interview. Like others have said, they're smart and savvy. They love doing big, complex deals. I believe they were part of the OVA transaction and that was A LOT of financing loops. Culture seems good except for long hours. Not sure about upward mobility or exit ops, but I'd wager that having them on your resy will open up a lot of doors. Good luck!
Thanks everyone!! Does anyone have any idea what the interview process is like at each step, how technical it gets and what to expect for a case study? This is for the investments team btw
Following up here to see how it went. Curious how the interview process is ran.

The most well connected guy I ever worked for (Most people on a real estate board who are based in NYC would recognize the name) moved heaven and earth to make sure his kid did her analyst stint at Square Mile. Take that for whatever you will.
Lol Simon Ziff?
Debt fund got hit hard beginning of the pandemic, doing well now as pretty much every debt fund is. Heard from inside if it wasn’t for their early entry into studios, which is the majority of their equity fund, the whole firm would’ve been toast.
insider and have heard the same too. They’ve clearly survived. But if we hit another recession I’m curious what will happen. They’ve done loans with Grant Cardone……
Mind sharing comp figures at the Analyst level if it doesn't give away your anonymity? You have multiple analysts so I'd imagine not, would be very grateful!
