alt, e, s - paste special menu crtl + [ or ] - trace precedents and dependents

I use alt shortcuts for almost everything....

If there is one thing you could add it would be to write a macro for “Center Across Selection” ... do this instead of merge and center. I have a shortcut set up for it but you could add it to your keyboard macro list.

Any tips on how to do the center across selection shortcut?

If you have the developer ribbon click into and select “record macro” ... save it in your Personal Workbook, should have this option from the drop down.

Make sure you only have one cell selected prior to clicking record... once you click record, navigate to the home ribbon and click into the alignment options, choose “center across selection” and then click ok. Stop recording the macro.

it should be saved as whatever shortcut you selected prior to recording. I used crtl + m for mine, but you could really use anything that isn’t being used.

Agree with ALT + E + S for paste special. Using that, ALT + E + S + L is amazing for linking large groups of cells.

Presuming you work on a monitor and not a miniature laptop screen, it helps to split screen using ALT + W + S once your model gets tall. Can use F6 or Shift + F6 to toggle between the panes.

As a general windows shortcut, I also use windows key + arrow keys if I want to move windows around and have them snap to different screens or sides.

I was considering getting the G815!

Which type of switches did you get and what do you think of the build quality?

I saw some reviews online saying the keys are a bit wobbly, do you find that to be the case with yours?

The keys aren't quite as sturdy as my x1 keys but it isn't an issue for me. It isn't significant to rule out the rest of the great features available. Having 15 total dedicated keys to save commands is a time and lifesaver. It's expensive but build quality is second to none, and given most laptop keyboards are ten keyless having the numpad is great. I got the tactile switches so it is bearable with other people as well. Wouldn't get clicky if you want it in a public setting and having the feedback with tactile switches is a perfect middle ground.
