S&T Sophomore JPM interview: How badly did I mess up?
I had an interview for a Sophomore S&T internship position at JPM. The first interview was behavioral, went very well and was able to connect with the interview. The second interview was with a dude who grilled me for 25 minutes on DCFs, WACC, and valuation methods. I definitely fucked up the WACC formula and wasn't able to answer how to calculate the required rate of return on equity (I looked it up yesterday and more or less understand it now.) The third interview went better than the second but I was still a bit jumpy from the second interview and that likely had an effect on my performance.
Are sophomores meant to know DCF formulas and the specifics of WACC or was it likely a stress test? I feel as if I performed relatively well if it was a simple stress test, but I got the WACC formula wrong and had some trouble coming up with the number of valuation methods he asked me to list.
Any thoughts?
