S&T/Analysis in Commodities

Background: Junior Quant Ag Econ Major from Purdue (GPA 3.3), no former internships/jobs related to commodities. Cumulative 3.3 GPA (Low because of a bad run with biology--semester GPA has been consistently 3.7 and above since. I expect to run at a cumulative 3.5 by the end of this year).

I'm here wondering if any of you guys could give me some direction on internship opportunities related to commodities trading/analysis? I went through pages and pages of past posts and compiled this list: ADM, Trafigura, Cargill, ConocoPhillips, CME (?), Macquarie, UBS, BP, Shell. I am also aware of Glencore, Morg Stan, Deutsche, Louis Dreyfus, Citi--however, with my background (lower GPA, non target school) I expect my chances with these companies to be near 0.

The advantage of ADM/Cargill is that they actively recruit at Purdue, so I will be paying them visits at the career fair. However, with this market, I want to apply to all the options on the board to ensure that I do indeed get something.

I am interested in ag commodities and the energy market. Recently, I've been spending a lot of time getting acclimated to the oil market (crude). I'm almost through Oil 101 and find it quite intriguing.

Any questions, feel free to ask. Otherwise, thanks in advance for your help!
