Startup CFO on resume?

In the process of trying to refine my resume I found myself at a standstill. I am a senior at a target university however I have no relevant work experience, except that I started a business last year. I am one of four founders and act as CFO and do maintain a small salary despite it's infancy. I plan to retain my share of the company and when possible, step down as a passive owner, as discussed with my partners. However I am wondering whether or not companies will view this as a detriment for two main reasons:

  1. If I have a job, why am I seeking another?
  2. Am I seeking a new job because the business is unsuccessful and if so was it my fault?

Considering this is my only relevant work experience will it raise any red flags? Should I explain I will be stepping down in the near future?

I am ideally looking to get an analyst job at a BB as I have a pretty good GPA. Also my school is liberal arts and I have taken it upon myself to take outside graduate courses on M&A and valuation so I know my technicals. However besides including a DCF with my resume it is quite hard to prove you know technicals until you get to a technical interview and without experience I doubt I could get that far.

Thank you, any help is appreciated!

Gotta watch putting the "CEO/CFO" titles of college start-ups or non profits on the resume. Some read it as taking initiative as a go-getter, others just think you are full of crap. If you put it on there, make sure to clarify you're role and what you've done in the interview if given the opportunity.
