Statistics in Corporate Finance - Recommended Resources?
As the title reads. Surfed the web and WSO and can't find recommendations on resources for brushing up / advancing statistical knowledge to be applied in corporate finance (modelling, benchmarking, etc.)
We provide advice which relies on (either explicitly or implicitly) point estimates and statistical inferences and, whilst understanding the theory paid dividends in interviews and early years, I genuinely think there's value to be added by better managing and interpreting data (e.g. Monte Carlo simulations instead of discrete scenario analysis)
To be clear, looking for something more advanced that basic stats - my undergrad was in Economics and I've done a couple levels of the CFA so something to build on that would be great
There are a lot of textbooks on statistics in trading / investing, but I'm not sure how relevant they would be in M&A (Although happy to take a look if any specific recommendations)
Thanks in advance!
