Stockbridge Capital Group
Curious if anyone has insights on Stockbridge Capital Group's SF office in terms of culture, reputation, market activity.. etc. They're a prominent SF REPE with a Core/Value Add & Opportunistic Fund, and aside from the Westcore industrial portfolio acquisition I haven't been able to get much intel on them or any recent transactions / fund raising activities in the past 5 years or so. Appreciate any insight.

I don't think their opportunistic side has historically performed well. Worked briefly with someone who had a stint doing asset management for their opportunistic business and he didn't refer to it as a good experience in terms of how the investments turned out.
I worked with one of the senior folks in that office. She was of the best real estate professionals I ever worked for in terms of associate development. I don’t know anything else about the company.

Not sure on culture but I do know they are big time capital providers. They have multiple projects with the Wilson Meany team on some of the biggest projects in both LA (Hollywood Park Developments) and SF (Treasure Island / Yurba Buena Island) plus a few others just simply off the top of my head. They are shifting upwards and are very smart people from who I’ve met
They're going to be stuck in Treasure Island for many more decades to come.

When I interviewed in March 2021, I asked for $200k all in and was told they may be able to get there with a signing bonus, so made it seem like $200k annual.

Their SF office/HQ is hiring for an AM associate right now. I went through the process and got quoted 125K-145k + 30% bonus + 7K signing bonus. Potential to push the base up to 150K-155K depending on "desirability" of candidate
