The Gospel Of Wealth
Philanthropy is a common topic among the wealthy. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet's Giving Pledge is a moral commitment for wealth people to donate a majority of their money to charity.
Andrew Carnegie, one of the richest men in the history of the world believed it was a disgrace to die rich. He believed well planned charity was the secret to cohesion between the rich and the rest of society. He used his wealth to build over 2500 libraries.

What do you think of his ideas about wealth and charity?
They’re great. When you have that much money you don’t know what to do with you get to do a lot of shit whenever you want
There comes a point at which you won't be able to spend all your money in good conscience. If you have $20mm in net worth, I can see why you would avoid charity. College tuition for 3 kids can be expensive, and if you have expensive taste, that money can be gone in no time. $20 billion? Good luck spending that without needing a harbor for all those luxury submarines. In my opinion, investing in society is the next best thing to do with it.
