The Most Incredible Thing Ever

2 Ivy League Guys

  1. Went to Princeton, grad with a 2.8, current occupation: M&A analyst at Bulge

  2. Went to Cornell, grad with a 2.7, current occupation: M&A analyst at Bulge

** Both showed me their resumes: their gpas are exactly as stated on the transcripts (2.8 and 2.7, respectively). No summer analyst for either, the only other thing on their resumes is, well, nothing, just bullshit -a couple clubs.

** What the hell? P and C are both difficult and prestigious schools, but in the 2's at a bluge, you gotta be kidding.

** Lessons Learned: If you are decent looking jackked, built, ripped mofo, nothing else matters!

yeah, they are decent looking, but they both hit the gym like mad. also, no connections, they just interviewed like everyone else. the thing is, they didn't just submit their resumes, they personally talked to the recruiters. i dont no, maybe the bulges are trying to "diversify."

They may be working in such a capacity, but that doesn't mean they'll rise to top of their analyst class for the choice PE, etc. jobs afterwards. Work life is a marathon, not a sprint.

Also, in tying with another forum post on exercise (or lack thereof), the buffness will quickly disappear.

A guy from my midwestern regional university is now managing a mutual fund for Fidelity. I heard he may have sucked off Peter Lynch. So it is possible to get a choice job that way!
