Those who started as a growth equity analyst - what did you do after?
Hey everyone! Long-time lurker here and I'm a second-year analyst at a MF with a growth arm. Wondering what others who started their career as a growth equity analyst did afterwards. Any and all examples of career progression are much appreciated.
Moving from growth to VC, or tech operating (corp dev, corp strat, product, biz dev) is doable. Moving to buyout PE would be rare. I’d assume you probably don’t want to do banking/consulting; but you could probably do that too.
Hi mate, sorry to hack your thread. But wanted to know what's the comp structure like at MFs for growth, compared to traditional buyouts? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks :)
My fund has pretty much the same comp structure for growth vs. buyout. Not sure this is the case across all MF growth equity arms though. You can probably expect something between $250-325k in all-in comp as a first year associate at a MF growth shop.
what about first year analyst?
