Three Stages of Life

Was talking to some folks the other day at lunch that were in their 60s and looking back reflecting on their careers. Both men had started companies and sold them for north of $100mm. I was trying to get some advice from them and also see if they were interested in backing one of my ideas. One thought in particular, however, struck me as quite interesting. So here it is:

There are three stages to life. The first stage is where a man only thinks about pussy. The second stage is where a man only thinks about money. The third stage is where a man only thinks about taking a good shit. All of these stages occur over different timetables for people. For example, one of the men told me a story about a farmer who was looking at buying a new truck at a dealership. The salesman walked up and asked, "So are you thinking about buying a new truck?" The farmer responded, "No! I am thinking about pussy. I'm gonna buy a truck."

So with that, what stage of life are you currently in?

Yeah the line is blurry. I am pretty similar right now, but I decided I probably have to go with the pussy stage still for this because at the end of the day I still sit here on Tinder from time to time at work thinking about how to get laid when I could be going all out to make money.

None.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I don't know about that - wouldn't live be easy if the only thing that caused stress in your day is something that every body does? Like if the worst part of your day is taking a shit, how good is your day? I would say pretty damn good.

I always preferred:

First stage you have time and energy but no money (up to graduation). Second stage you have energy and money but no time (professional life). Final stage you have money and time but no energy (retirement).

Obviously there are exceptions (born into wealth, people who retire early, etc.) but as a whole I'd say that's fairly accurate.

Money stage, but really more of a financial freedom / self-improvement in all areas stage. I just want to be an independently wealthy renaissance man. Doing pretty well for my age imo. I got super lucky that I met my wife. I was deep in the pussy stage, had no money, and was doing all kinds of retarded shit.

Not sure what stage 3 would entail. I currently take great shits. I would like to hit on the tippy top of dat der maslow's hierarchy of needs some day. I want to contribute to humanity in some way. But not by helping poor people or whatever, which I believe makes people feel nice but is worthless in the long run, but by contributing to STEM. I'm no scientist and never will be, but I do think that scientific and technological advancement is the most important thing for humanity. We need to get off of this rock if we want to survive. I want to help fund it. I want to build a business empire, live a dope life, be healthy as fuck, raise kickass kids, and fund space exploration...

Agreed, what a depressing outlook on life.

It's like those losers that always say "life is a bitch and then you die."

One should aspire for more, there is no reason you can't have it all, this nonsense about having 2 out of the 3 is a scarcity mindset and limits your full potential.

"Well, you know, I was a human being before I became a businessman." -- George Soros

I don't think this applies for a number of reasons. I believe your environment and those around you will oftentimes determine your mindset, aspirations, etc. This is oversimplifying and most people with real aspirations don't think on such a simplistic basis.

What do you expect to gain, asking people if they're chasing money or pussy or the ability to shit properly?

The more I think about this thread, the more I realize only a true troglodyte would start anything resembling this.

Lastly, as if OP's post wasn't shit enough, nice job tying in your well off friends, it must be a testament to how important you are. Anyone who reads the post can tell there isn't even the slightest reason for including your first paragraph, except maybe some dummy will think "Oh he eats with big shots, I bet OP is a big shot. Therefore, he has good credibility on how to define life goals."

Dude you're way too serious. I thought it was a funny view on life from two guys that are clearly in the stage of their life where they care about taking a good shit (hence the first paragraph). These guys are done chasing pussy and done chasing money, they are content trying to simply life and not worry about the things that used to drive them crazy.

Do you have better advice for me?

How do you guys manage to find girls with HIV? Do you sleep with tramps or something? On a side note, the Lord of Light brought you back for a reason.

GoldenCinderblock: "I keep spending all my money on exotic fish so my armor sucks. Is it possible to romance multiple females? I got with the blue chick so far but I am also interested in the electronic chick and the face mask chick."

It wasn't intentional. She was just a typical club girl, you know, the type that frequents high-end clubs in the tightest, most revealing dress ever made. She was easy, and in retrospect, a warning light.

Another man, who'd be in his 60s today and probably also made around $100mm with his business, once said

"In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."

For taking good shits, I recommend psyllium husk.
