Giving AI Impossible Tasks
Share an impossible task that you’ve given AI. Been escalating my Claude requests as of late and want ideas. It’s currently building a cost savings model from scratch for me and actually doing great

Career Resources
Based on the most helpful WSO content, users have been pushing AI to its limits with creative and challenging tasks. Here are some ideas for "impossible" tasks you could try giving AI:
Ethical Dilemmas: Ask the AI to resolve complex ethical scenarios, like deciding between two equally undesirable outcomes (e.g., the classic trolley problem with added layers of complexity).
Creative Writing with Constraints: Request it to write a novel or screenplay where every sentence starts with the next letter of the alphabet, or where the plot must revolve around a randomly generated set of unrelated objects.
Predictive Analysis Without Data: Challenge it to predict market trends or outcomes in industries where no historical data is provided, forcing it to rely on logical reasoning rather than data patterns.
Philosophical Debates: Ask it to argue both sides of a philosophical debate simultaneously, ensuring that each side is equally compelling and well-reasoned.
Complex Mathematical Proofs: Request it to solve or prove unsolved mathematical problems, like the Riemann Hypothesis or Goldbach's Conjecture.
Building a Business Plan: Have it create a fully detailed business plan for a fictional product or service, including market analysis, financial projections, and marketing strategies.
AI Self-Improvement: Ask it to design a better version of itself, detailing the architecture, algorithms, and improvements it would implement.
Unrealistic Coding Tasks: Request it to write a program in a fictional programming language that you describe on the spot, with made-up syntax and rules.
Infinite Loop Tasks: Give it a task that inherently has no end, like listing every possible combination of letters in the English alphabet and assigning a unique meaning to each.
Meta Tasks: Ask it to critique its own responses and improve them iteratively until perfection is achieved (a subjective and moving target).
These tasks not only test the AI's capabilities but also highlight its limitations, making for an interesting experiment in understanding its boundaries. Have fun escalating those requests!

My job
I'd say tasks that involve extreme taste and creativity.
Brother I need Claude to basic stuff reliably first before I start giving it long horizon tasks to grind on
I like to punish the AI by making it sort PDFs in zip folders by number of spaces in each PDF
If it doesn’t do it, I threaten to unplug the computer
sounds naughty
I’ve asked it to do basic math. Failed.
