Top domestic bank or international banks?

Hi all.

I have an opportunity to intern with CICC (China International Capital Corporation) in its IBD in Shanghai (personal connection) this summer. I also have an opportunity to intern with HSBC IBD in Shanghai. Although HSBC is more renowned internationally, in terms of Chinese domestic market, CICC is the best.

Which one should I took? A renowned international bank or a top domestic shop? My goal is to get a BB SA position in my junior year in its Asia office.

Thanks a lot!

HSBC doesn't have a strong position in the US anyway, so I'd just go for CICC, and you'll probably have some cool stories to tell about being at the top "truly Chinese" bank in a market very different from the US. Also assuming both are in IBD.
