It all comes down to the mustache. If you don't have a solid handlebar mustache you can't rock the monocle. If you don't have the monocle you can't rock the tophat. And if you don't have the tophat you can't rock the cape. This is all thoroughly explained in the WSO interview guide.

 

Dust off your fanciest spats and drape your watch chain just right. If you don't yet have a pimping 'stache - get to growing!

I would not suggest wearing either a cape nor top hat. I think that would end up making you look like more of a joke than someone who is taking the interview seriously. You want to be professional looking, but I wouldn't go too over the top. A nice suit with a crisp tie should do the job just fine.

Pish posh! My good sir, one should never 'iron out' a respectable cape, as you say. It needs must be steam cleaned with the tears of laboring third world children. Goodness gracious, I dare say I would not envy a viewing of your fine fripperies!
