Currently a freshman at Penn State Honors, and im considering transferring. Not really sure where to start or if I should even transfer.
Honestly just lost and not even sure where to start. What sort of Extracurriculars look good when ur transferring as a finance major? Can I get involved in research? Is it even a good idea transferring to a school like Cornell/Georgetown/WashU?

I transferred. Most important thing is great grades and a narrative. Show you’re involved (if you like finance, join clubs), but research is also great.
You need to be able to craft a story as to why their school is incredible, and you’re capable of accomplishing xyz there.
Again though—grades are key. Take a hearty course load and do well.
Is it worth it? Cornell recruits pretty well…depends on what you want to do. Take a look around at some posts here. Harder to get into IB from PSU, though it’s a solid school.
Gotcha. What else can I do apart from clubs/volunteering--it's tough to get leadership roles at a freshman when PSU is so big.
Also do you think the honors college carries any weight in the transfer process?
