TS to IB
There have been plenty of threads regarding jumping from TS to IB. However, I wanted to ask some follow up questions.
1) What are the chances of getting into an elite boutique IB or BB (not MM) from TS(think A&M, Duff&Phelps, etc)?
2) How does the jump from IB to PE/HF work and what are the chances of this jump even happening? Is it mostly networking on your own, headhunters, a combination, or meeting people through your workday interactions?
3) Is it possible to skip IB?
My background: Recent Graduate (2018), couple of months in TS, degrees in acct and math, CPA, CFA 1&2 done, 3 actuarial exams. Prior modeling experience from internships in the actuarial field and school investment fund
