These kinds of decisions you must realize have to do with YOU not the school as to what will improve your life - which by the way none of us here including yourself actually know because college means both a lot and nothing too.

As in which environment will motivate YOU more? Be happier? Creative, etc….

At EOD no successful person will ‘credit’ their school ultimately so much so over an equal for example and it requires anyone, high school drop out or Stanford grad to take life into their own hands and that’s how you should frame your life, see: all useless ppl who graduate good schools and all the ppl successful regardless of school.

To the extent your environment will make YOU better however YOU define that, makes the decision clear. Which is extremely hard actually and requires a lot of reflection and few can answer. H or S—- doesn’t actually matter. If you like warm weather and will be happy , S. Great

there isn't a right or wrong decision, its stanford vs harvard. what's the point of posting this? for validation?

I can empathize with your situation. Turning down Harvard, especially if you live on the east cost, may feel illogical but ultimately I think was the right move. The future of the global economy is Tech, and Stanford is the #1 tech ecosystem on the planet. Add in better weather and the fact you prefer the west coast and I think you made the right call
