Unable to calculate EBIT and EBITDA
It probably requires a simple look at the 10K, but i cannot seem to find out how to calculate EBIT and EBITDA from shipping firms like starbulk and golden ocean. I am new to the subject of finance, but I thought i knew how to calculate this. EBITDA = I am able to find depreciation, but not amortization, should i just add up all of the amortization posts from the 10K? Also, i cant seem to get the right number when i calculate EBIT.
I realise this might be a simple question for the majority of you, so I please ask for your help on how to calculate EBIT and EBITDA in star bulk shippings 10K!

I have not analyzed shipping companies but it is entirely possible EBITDA isn’t the right approach to looking at their cash flows. I know one industry in particular that uses plant output metrics....
