For top MSc Finance programs in Europe, here's a breakdown of the GMAT score expectations based on the most helpful WSO content:

  1. Oxford MFE: A GMAT score of 720+ is typically required. This program is highly academic and competitive, so a strong GMAT score is crucial.

  2. LSE MSc Finance: While the GMAT is optional, a score of 700+ is recommended to strengthen your application, especially if other areas of your profile are not exceptional.

  3. LBS MFA: A GMAT score of 680+ is sufficient, but higher scores (700+) will make you more competitive, particularly given the program's career-focused nature.

  4. HEC MiF: A strong GMAT score is important, though specific thresholds aren't mentioned. A score in the 700+ range would align with the competitiveness of similar programs.

  5. Bocconi MSc Finance: Similar to HEC, a GMAT score in the 700+ range would be ideal for a strong application.

  6. Warwick/Imperial: A GMAT score of 650+ is generally sufficient for these programs, though higher scores will always enhance your chances.

In summary, for top-tier programs like Oxford, LSE, and LBS, aim for 700+, with 720+ being ideal for Oxford. For Tier 1.5 or Tier 2 programs, a score of 650-700+ should suffice, especially with a strong profile.

Absolute minimum? Probably 615. You can get away with it if you have a strong undergrad + brand name internships. Real is more like 645+ focus for UK schools (oxbridge/lse/lbs).

Continental schools (HEC/bocconi/gallen/escp etc) don't care much. If you have prestigious internships, you're more than likely in.
