"Unable to relay a decision to you at this time." Is there hope?

Hi all,

Just received an e-mail from my campus recruiter after an interview with B of A Merrill Lynch for the GWIM Operations Summer Analyst Internship Program, and it stated, "The interviewers and I were impressed with your background, however I am unable to relay a decision to you at this time. I will provide you with an update on your status within the next two weeks." I understand I can wait for the response, but is this just something they say and all hope is gone? Has anyone else gotten this response and care to share how it turned out? Any advice on how I should proceed would be appreciated.

i just got a message from the recruiter (BofA) stating "Hello – Thank you for interviewing for our Final Round Interview event with Bank of America for the Technology Intern Program with our Chief Technology Organization. The interviewers and I were impressed with your background, however I am unable to relay a decision to you at this time. Please keep me updated if you have other offers pending. I look forward to keeping in touch with you! Thank you!"

Is this a plain reject?

Your feedback will be appreciated!
