Not a 100% sure about this but I believe that there are a couple US funds with decent presence in London. The big players like Citadel, Millennium, OZ, Point72, DE Shaw, BlueCrest etc have London offices and I think they do engage in L/S equity.
These are all the trading platforms. BlueCrest don’t really do L/S equity anymore btw.
i thought that DE Shaw are fundamental on L/S equity. am i not right?
