Varagon Capital Partners
I have an interview coming up for Varagon Capital Partners in NYC for a summer 2018 Summer analyst spot. I attached the description of the firm and position. I am expecting similar technicals to IB in terms of valuation (DCF, LBO etc.) based on the position description. Does anyone have any insight to their interviews or the firm itself? Any tips even based off of similar position interviews about what to expect outside of standard IB questions would be greatly appreciated!

Varagon Capital Reputation (Originally Posted: 02/01/2018)
I’m currently scheduled to attend a super day for Varagon Capital, and was wondering if anyone could speak to the reputation of the firm. I’m coming from a large corporates background so I’m not as familiar with them through experience, but based on their recent track record and the research I’ve done this far it seems like they’ve been crushing it lately despite being founded less than 4 years ago. To be totally frank, a lot of their people seem to be from more diverse and less traditional backgrounds than say an Ares or a Golub, but I assume that’s more a product of their age than their ability to recruit. Could anyone with more MM experience speak to their experiences with them and what their outlook is? I feel well prepared for the interview but just genuinely curious as they seem to be doing pretty well for their size and tenure.
