Virtual IB SA attire?
was wondering if anyone could say what I need to get for my virtual IB SA attire? I can't imagine wearing a suit every day in my apartment. Thinking about taking the following:
- 5 Shirts (3 white, 1 blue, 1 very light pink)
- 2 2-pc suits (1 blue, 1 grey - just in case I need to go to the office if they open it up)
- 2 pants
- 2 pairs of formal shoes (black, brown)
Is there anything else I need for the summer? Would appreciate it if someone can comment on clothing from the last summer for those that had it virtual.
Is this a joke? Why would you need formal shoes for a virtual internship?
My firm has said that they might open up the office to interns if conditions allow so want to be prepared for that possibility. Can’t go back to another city just to get my shoes lol.

Barring any return to office, everyone wears t shirts for WFH and you will probably get poked fun at if you show up (zoom) every day in a dress shirt. Obviously dress up the first day or for important meetings, but if you're just on Zoom with an associate/analyst a polo is absolutely standard.
Great that's what my plan is too (the list above was for the potential in-person switch). Are there any colors you recommend for the Polos?
Agree with the associate above. I virtually interned in a SF office this past summer, and just wore a polo every day. If you're looking for brands, I buy mine from Bonobos.

Literally chilled in a white t shirt most of the day and put on a dress shirt if I had to actually have my video on which was 99% for intern events since most team meetings had everyone with cameras off too. All the FT ppl wore just regular t-shirts and I wouldn't be that chill, so just a dress shirt is the perfect middle ground IMO cause going full out would look too extra.
