Just started my analyst stint at a BB around the West Coast. Im hardworking but not super smart. What should I do to avoid getting fired? Not sure if hardworking is good enough for this Investment banking industry. Any seniors in Investment banking can give me some advice?

At boutiques or MM firms, it happens.
At BB firms, as long as you don't break the law or bang your group heads wife, you won't be fired as an Analyst.
Even at a soild MM's they wont fire you. The only time I have seem someone get fired is when they couldn't pass their licensing exams.
