What is the application process like for GS Salt Lake City IB SA?
I am a sophomore interested in applying to the summer analyst role in Salt Lake City. For any of you who did it, is the process the same as NYC? I don't think I am competitive enough for sophomore in NYC.
How important is networking in SLC? My school has plenty of IB alumni in NY but none in SLC.
I'm pretty sure the GS IB division for Salt Lake City got dissolved a few years ago.

Yeah sorry :( Although I'm just referencing investment banking so you could do a summer analyst internships for other divisions if you'd want to. But I'm 99% sure GS doesn't have investment banking in Salt Lake City anymore.
When did you hear they stopped?
According to this post I just found, they had it as recently as 2018, and the author implied they were expanding.

I had a few friends that interned at Salt Lake City summer 2018 and one was transferred for FT in New York and the other didn't receive a returning offer.

Yeah I saw that now. My hope was to summer there for sophomore then try to move to NY for junior.
