When to reach out to Boutique Banks

I am a Financial Analyst for a large NY Corporation. I do FP&A. I only have 3 months on the job out of college but want to break into a Boutique Bank in the NY area. When should I reach out to these banks for coffee chats etc? I know in order to switch I need about a year on the job so I do not seem flaky. But when is the appropiate time to start reaching out and expressing interest in a career change?
